Industrial

Industrial fire and explosion hazards are as unique as each industry is unique.  It is not possible on this website to provide a full summary of our industrial clients or the projects we have completed.  Our approach with each has been similar.  First, gain an understanding of the industrial processes and production priorities.  Identify the fire and explosion hazards associated with the materials and process. Then develop options for eliminating or mitigating the risks.

At PLC we have used a variety of technical resources to identify hazards, quantify their magnitude and evaluate the contribution of protection measures.  We have an extensive library on industrial fire and explosion hazards.  We have a number of software tools for hazard evaluation and consequence assessment.  Where tools were not available to meet our client's needs, we developed tools to do the job.  From our hazard assessment tool for Performance Based Fire Assessment for Nuclear Safety (PB-FANS) to the fire models we have developed to evaluate specific pool fire scenarios, we have found the solutions for our client's industrial hazards.

The following is a list of industries we have served.  We are grateful that most of our clients have hired us for more than one project.  If you do not recognize your organization in the categories we list, please contact us and we will give you an honest answer on our experience.
