Professional Loss Control (PLC) is expanding and is looking for career minded fire protection engineers and technologists to fill positions in both Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Mississauga, Ontario.  PLC places a high priority on technical excellence and quality of work.  PLC offers fire and explosion engineering services to all building and occupancy types, including fire hazard asessments, loss investigations, code compliance, protection system designs, research, and testing.  5 to 10 years experience in fire protection or fire safety fields is desirable in an applicant.

March 25, 1911 at approximately 4:45 PM a fire broke out on the 8th floor of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company Factory in New York.  One hundred and forty six of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company employees were killed by this fire.  Later investigation determined that many of these deaths should have been avoided, this fire is credited with bringing about major improvements to both fire safety regulations and workers rights.
